every nook is 3!!! My small business highlights of this year.

Like I do with my children, I hear myself saying about every nook - I remember your first birthday like it was yesterday! Really, I actually can't believe it's been 3 years already.

I must admit I spend a lot of time in the detail of the day to day or panicking about what I need to get done for future deadlines, so it's lovely to make time to step back and share what's been achieved so far.

Here's what year 3 has brought every nook, and a few teasers of what is to come in the year ahead!

THANK YOU so much for being a part of it :)

I am thrilled that the Baked Rhubarb + Spritz scent has been so well received! An uplifting fruity scent is what we all needed this year it seems :)

In a bid to keep challenging myself with new skills I developed the pillar candle range for every nook, bringing the bold colours that are so integral to this brand even more to the fore.

Launching later this year is A new larger double wick every nook candle and as always I have a new scent in progress, which I can't wait to share :)

Every nook can now be found in more independent stockists across the UK. I'm so delighted when a retailer decides to stock every nook, and I always get a buzzy feeling when I see products I've made on their shelves :)

For the first time you can now find every nook in Wales at Martha's Home Store (Pontypridd), and in additional cities in England - Molecule Vintage (Brighton), Stem & Co (Cleethorpes) and Butter + Sugar (Nottingham).

A pinch me moment was being selected as a brand partner by Nobodys Child, the sustainable fashion brand. Every nook is available on their website and their flagship store on Carnaby Street.

Over the next year I hope to add many more stockists via showing at my first ever trade fair in September 2022, YIKES! I'm very nervous about taking this step but also so excited about where it may take every nook.

I had always loved the idea of working with another maker to create accessories for every nook. In 2021 I plucked up with courage to contact Carly of Wolf & Wildflower, maker of colourful jesmonite products. Thankfully she said she'd love to! It was great to develop something together, and I love the way she interpreted every nook into a range of coasters for use with the pillar candles :)

A new collaboration is on it's way this June, keep an eye on my Instagram for more details!

After a year of only trading online in 2020, I was a little nervous about getting back out to markets. I'd lost my confidence in driving to new places and putting myself out there. However I did really miss chatting to fellow makers and meeting customers in person so I pushed myself to start signing up to events. In November 2021 I traded at the most events I've ever done in one month and it was AMAZING! Everyone was in such good spirits to be out and about again and it was an exhilarating, if not an exhausting end to 2021.

Motivated by my experience I've already traded at several events this year and have more plans over the summer too. Details of all future events are shared on my Instagram grid and via the INTHENOOK newsletter. Subscribe via if you'd love to keep posted.

Seeing an every nook candle in print was definitely an amazing feeling to wrap up year 3! It was the Baked Rhubarb + Spritz medium boxed candle (£18) that made it into the glossy pages of Country Homes & Interiors June picks edit!

Thank you for reading and being part of my small business, if you've ever bought a product, liked/shared a social post of had a chat with me when I've been at an event, it all means SO much.

Now let's see what the next year has in store!
