reuse + recycle

When you have about a ¼ inch of wax left at the base of your jar sadly this is the end of the road for your candle. The good news is that once cooled, leftover soy wax as it is biodegradable, can be easily washed away with soapy water to leave you with a beautiful reusable glass.

Pop a tea light in it to continue to use for home fragrance, store pens or paperclips depending on the size of jar you have. If it's the medium jar you could even pop a small plant in it – totally up to you!

Made from kraft board, your every nook carton can be easily recycled once the label has been removed. So too can your delivery packaging if ordering online. More reasons to feel good!

burning your candle

Please refer to the safety information on your candle before burning. Here are some extra tips to get the best from your every nook candle safely.

Never burn a candle for more than 3-4 hours. The first time you light your candle allow it to burn for this time. This will allow the wax to melt close to the edge of the glass. Soy wax has a memory so doing this will encourage an even burn during the life of your candle.

Wicks may be little but they command respect! Keep wicks trimmed to approx 5mm before you next light your candle. These wicks can be trimmed easily with wick trimmers or scissors, or when cooled, very easily by hand just by nipping the end with your finger tips. This makes sure flame height is controlled and I think they look prettier during the course of the burn :)

using your wax melts

Please refer to the usage advice on the packaging of your wax melts.  Remove all packaging and before use and use only the wax melt, do not add any water.

You can use in a traditional warmer (as shown here, which is heated with an unscented tea-light) or an electric warmer.

Each melt will release scent for the duration of 2-3 tea lights, that's approximately 12 hours if using an electric warmer.  Wax does not evaporate in the same way in a melt format as when used in a candle. Therefore once the scent is no longer noticeable you can remove it from your warmer and replace with a new melt.

To remove leftover wax from your burner, I prefer to allow it to cool and then push to slide it out of the dish.

reasons to love soy wax

Each every nook candle + melt is made with soy wax made from soy beans, a natural renewable resource. It is also biodegradable, so compared to paraffin wax offers a cleaner burn with less impact on the environment.

All wax and fragrance in an every nook product is sourced from suppliers who do not test on animals, so we can have a clear conscious around our pets, but do keep them away from burning candles as per safety advice :)

As each product is hand poured in small batches there may be some natural variation between them.  However my commitment to quality means this will never affect your experience. Enjoy!
